Who We Are

Our mission is to "To interrupt, intercept, intercede, convert, and distribute food surplus and waste to transform and impact lives in communities that face hunger, poverty and other life altering crises."

What We Do

Miracle Food Network (MFN) serves over 7,000 meals throughout Whatcom County each week with the help of an array of donors, volunteers & distribution sites throughout Whatcom County.

MFN volunteers run daily routes to collect surplus food from area commercial kitchens, grocers, events, and other donors. The daily collection of food is then aggregated at our distribution hub in Pioneer Center in Ferndale, WA.

We have evolved beyond just repackaging leftovers into grab and go meals - we are now able to recover more than a million pounds of food each year and distribute to 27+ "pop up food share" hubs all over Whatcom County.  .

Our primary focus is on redirecting food waste from the landfill and into the bellies of those who are hungry.

We utilize the support of community members and the resources they provide to attack hunger at one of its root causes: poverty. We continue to actively serve our community helping people heal, restore, and revitalize themselves and their families.

Food brings people together, and when basic needs are met - people share their dreams, vision, and goals.  Our growing network can help support making those dreams come true!
