The Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center has recently taken on the Supervised Visitation program. We are excited to get the visitation rooms repainted and ready for families. We need your help taping and painting. Please help in this endeavor.
Every day, families experience destabilizing conflict. Without a way for a parent to connect with their child safely, families risk increased violence and loss of access to children. Supervised Visitation (SV) allows families to heal, while laying the foundation for healthy relationships.
The WDRC SV Program is the only free, safe, and legal way for parents and children to maintain relationships where contact is otherwise prohibited due to a court order. The alternative, private SV is costly, creating disparity between children who get to see their parents and those who do not. Family time should not be cost prohibitive. For many, these visits are the only time a parent and their child can be together.
