Trails to Taps Relay is seeking volunteers for this year’s run on Sunday October 20th, 2019. This event is a fun, high energy event where costumes are encouraged and the overall vibe is very positive. 

All the proceeds from this event are donated to us at Lydia Place to support our programs and services!

 Please let us know if you would like to be an After Party Volunteer or a Course volunteer, and if you have a preference on task or time of day. As a thank you for volunteering with us, you will receive a Trails to Taps pint glass!

UPDATE: All our After Party Volunteer Positions have beel filled YAY! We still need lots of Course Volunteers

Here are the approximate times/locations for course volunteers:

  • 9:25-10:00 in Bellingham

  • 9:55-11:40 in Whatcom Falls Park

  • 10:25-12:10 in Bellingham

  • 10:40-12:55 in Cornwall Park

  • 11:00-2:00 in Maritime Heritage Park

  • 12:00-3:00 in Bellingham and Waypoint Park

  • 12:15-3:45 at Zuanich Park

  • 12:45-4:00 at Western Washington University

AFTER PARTY VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers are needed at the After Party in two shifts: 12:15 to 4:30 pm and 1:30 to 5:30 pm. All After Party duties take place at the Market Depot Square in Downtown Bellingham. Duties are as follows:

  • Pouring beer at the After Party (MAST certificate preferred)

  • Checking IDs at entrance

  • Monitor exits and check wrist bands

Depending on the shift you sign up for, we ask that you help with set-up or breakdown before or after your shift. Set-up & breakdown will be somewhat minimal, including tasks such as setting up tables, chairs, fencing, pop-ups, and signage (or breaking it all down when the party is over). Please let us know if lifting is an issue and we are happy to accommodate with another task.

COURSE VOLUNTEERS: We are also seeking volunteers along the course to cheer on participants and point them in the right direction. Times & locations vary, shifts are 2 to 3 hours in length. Our preference is to place volunteers in pairs along the course. More details provided based on availability of volunteer.
