Always first to jump up when someone needs help setting up the room? Want to support efforts to prevent and respond to Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and People (MMIWP) in Whatcom?
The Bellingham-Whatcom County Commission on Sexual & Domestic Violence is seeking volunteers to assist with event set up the evening before the 3rd annual Whatcom County Summit on MMIWP, which takes place the following day. We're looking for 5-10 volunteers who are comfortable moving tables and chairs and performing light-to-moderate physical work.
You'll be helping move tables and chairs into position to host 180 attendees of the summit at the PeaceHealth St. Luke's Health Education Center in Bellingham. You should be able to lift up to 30lbs, push or lift tables and chairs around a conference room, and unload boxes of supplies and equipment from a vehicle and into the event space.
Your help moving tables and chairs for just a few hours will make it possible for our three-person office to host this important event and welcome 180 attendees focused on advancing awareness, partnership, and action around MMIWP in Whatcom County.
