Enjoy a day on Bellingham Bay!

The Community Boating Center is in need of 17 volunteers to help with our annual summer celebration event. This event is a fundraiser for the CBC, and is composed of various on-water and on-land activities, which include, but are not limited to, guided sail, kayak, and paddleboard tours, live music, gutter races, a beer garden with local beer provided by Stones Throw, and food by Simmering Tava. 

We are looking for approx. 17 volunteers to help with boat rentals, tour sign up and gear prep, parking management, set up and clean up, and beer garden service (to help with the beer garden volunteers must be 21+ and have a current MAST permit).

This event takes place on August 25, from 1pm - 8pm. Volunteer shifts will run from 2.5 - 4 hours in length.

Inclement Weather Plan: All volunteers are advised to bring spare layers to protect against potential wind or rain. We also recommend that volunteers wear comfortable shoes and clothing that they are not afraid of staining or tearing. Depending on your volunteer position, you may be getting your feet wet, so we recommend bringing water sandals if you have them. If the weather conditions preclude boating due to safety, the event will be cancelled.
