Lend a hand to help the Bellingham Special Olympics teams be the best soccer players they can be! This volunteer opportunity requires your availability from 10am - 12pm on Sundays:

March 12, 19, 26

April 2, 9, 23

May 7, 21

With a Regional Soccer Tournament to be held April 30th.

All practices will be held at the Whatcom Community College Orca Field.

No coaching experience required, No experience working with people with Intellectual Disabilities required.

We are looking for 8 to 10 dedicated volunteers:

(2) Traditional and or Unified Team Head Coaches, able to coach teams through the season teaching fundamental skills and team work
(2) Traditional and or Unified Team Assistant Coaches, able to support the head coach with teaching fundamental skills and teamwork and be a backup for head coach absences
(2) Team Skills Coaches, able to coach team with lower skill level learn the fundamental skills
(2) Individual Skills Coaches, able to coach individuals with basic soccer skills
(2) Support Volunteers (floaters)
We’ll take whatever floating volunteers we can take, those who can only volunteer some weekends but not all.

We’re also looking for a few skilled people to do a couple soccer clinics.  So that’s a one and done kind of thing too.
