Volunteer: Garden Care VolunteerHelp care for a school garden in your neighborhood/area! Attend a volunteer orientation or scheduled volunteer hours and learn what to do, then volunteer on your own and take care of the school garden by watering, weeding, harvesting and beautifying! Volunteers under the age of 13 are very welcome but must bring an older sibling or an adult. Please note that not every garden is wheelchair accessible--but some are! Please fill out our volunteer form to get started! Once you have filled out the volunteer form, you can navigate to your school's tab on our Sign Up Genius and sign up to volunteer! Please note there are different kinds of opportunities. Some schools have a scheduled time when you can garden with other volunteers (Birchwood, Cordata and Roosevelt in Bellingham; Nooksack and Sumas further east) if that's your jam or if you are just learning to garden and would like some guidance. Other schools have more independent volunteer opportunities. There's something for everyone! This need is active in the spring, summer and fall, but please feel free to sign up in the winter and we will get in touch and prepare you for spring! Or help us out in cooking classes :) Agency: Common Threads Farm Help care for a school garden in your neighborhood/area!
