Who We Are
Wild Whatcom has been offering outdoor education and enrichment programs for two decades. We are committed to removing barriers to belonging in nature, including marginalization and exclusion related to ethnicity, gender or sexual identity, abilities, age, or income.
Our staff includes educators, environmental scientists, and people with diverse backgrounds and experience who love the outdoors. We want everyone to feel safe, welcome, included and connected with nature and each other. Read more about our current staff, board, and volunteers by visiting our website!
What We Do
Wild Whatcom fosters lifelong connections to nature. We do this in order to promote the health and well- being of people of all ages in our community, and to support developing environmental stewards who care about each other and the planet.
Our organization serves 3,500+ participants each year. We offer programs for very young children, school age children and youth, families, adults, and all ages. No experience is necessary, and we aim to provide accessible, a$ordable, inclusive nature experiences, in community, for all.
Volunteers bring fresh perspectives, energy, and ideas to Wild Whatcom! We have opportunities to work outdoors in our programs, and to contribute on committees, including in person and remote options.
