Who We Are
Unbridled Spirit is a local farm, that is dedicated to sharing its beautiful land and animals with individuals and families that need support with emotional wellness. We practice identifying our needs and look at how we get them met in unhealthy and healthy ways.
Our animals and staff create an inviting and safe space. This allows for vulnerability and for a person to connect to one's true authentic nature. Animals offer us an opportunity to pause and become aware of our emotions and how they relate to our behaviors.
What We Do
Unbridled Sprit provides school programming to various different schools in the community. Students are referred by their school counselors to come to the farm for weekly programs. These programs are about 1-3 hours long, weekly for about 6-10 weeks depending on the age of the group we are working with. Students come to create a relationship with a horse or any other animal that we have at the farm. Mentors who volunteer will work with their student for the entire duration of the weekly program, so that trust can be build between the student, mentor and horse they are working with.
We also provide Family Farm Days to the community, which is a 3 hr event at our farm, including a community meal all together, then opportunities to lead a llama, leading a horse or mini horse, riding a horse, holding a bunny or possibly a chicken! These events are one time events per group, if any families who come to the program feel that they could benefit from future programming we also offer family programming to them.
Outside of collaborating programming with other schools and organizations, we also provide one on one programs with Facilitators and a participant, or with an entire family. These sessions can go on for a month or maybe years. It depends on the needs of the participants.
