Who We Are
CERT trains citizens to:
- Prepare to be self-sufficient for a minimum of 72 hours,
- Respond effectively to a disaster, and
- Organize teams to assist neighbors, co-workers, and the community
What We Do
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about emergency preparedness, Whatcom County hazards, and basic disaster response skills. CERT members are expected to take care of themselves, their families, and those close to them following a disaster. Once this is done. CERT members may be available to help emergency response officials in recovering from the event.
