Who We Are

Since 1999, Animals as Natural Therapy (ANT) has offered animal-guided mental & behavioral health programs for youth, veterans, families, & elders. Our work is based on the knowledge that animals can teach important life skills such as respect for self & others, healthy boundaries, self-management, empathy, and clear communication.

Farm Tours available by appointment only

What We Do

Our approach utilizes EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth & Learning), PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship), and EAP (Equine Assisted Psychotherapy) techniques to uniquely address a variety of participant needs, including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and PTSD. We provide an emotionally safe environment using challenging activities that empower individuals to transform their lives. Rescued & adopted farm animals, including horses, miniature horse & mule, goats, rabbits, chickens, and dogs all play a role in our programs.

Programs include after-school group sessions for youth, group & individual sessions for youth and veterans (and their families), school-based programs, and Mobile ANT visits to seniors and community events.
