Who We Are
Salish Sea Conservation is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization. A major aspect of Salish Sea Conservation is making photo/video documentation and removal of garbage along the shoreline of the Salish Sea, as well as performing as many water quality tests as we are able within our budget restrictions.
What We Do
Water quality in general has been under assault by irresponsible humans for a long time, not just the drinking water, but all water-ways around the Salish Sea. As time goes on, this subject becomes increasingly important for everyone in the community. We will research this more and take water samples from around the Salish Sea for testing. In the beginning, we would only concentrate on the Whatcom County areas, but in long term we intend to expand the research and education to include as much of the Salish Sea as possible with permanent anchor sites at various locations for a regular route of testing, documentation and garbage removal.
