Who We Are

Back in 1974, the need for recreational opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities in the Puget Sound area was recognized.Camp Horizon was created and in 1986, Bay Horizon Park (the former site of the Blaine Air Force Station) became the permanent home of Camp Horizon. Over the years volunteers remodeled the dorms, recreational building, dining hall, theater and conference hall to create the most accommodating and entertaining facility possible. As an organization, we aim to be a "home away from home" for our clients by providing a wide variety of activities to entertain people of all interests and needs.

What We Do

We provide a unique summer camp experience for individuals with developmental disabilities including our on-site bowling alley, visiting horses, archery, arts & crafts, and community building activities. Our summer camp provides a safe space for such an incredible population to grow and discover their skills and unique abilities while making lasting friendships.
