Whatcom Conservation District and Whatcom Million Trees Project, in partnership with the City of Bellingham, are giving away free trees for yards to help increase our community's tree canopy cover! (Learn more about this program here.) Nearly 300 residents and property owners across the 5 eligible neighborhoods have signed up to receive free trees, and will be picking them up at the Frank Geri Fields parking lot in Bellingham.
We need YOUR help to make these events successful! Support-tasks include setup and cleanup, directing traffic, loading tree seedlings and supplies into vehicles, and ensuring tree recipients receive their instructional sheets to guide them in planting the trees well.
