Description

Call for Peace Builder Awards Gala Volunteers
14th Annual Peace Builder Awards Gala
Greetings,
As one of our fabulous volunteers, I am writing because we need your help putting on the 14th Annual Peace Builder Awards Gala, Friday, November 18th. Come on board as a volunteer and we can promise you an evening of fun. This year's gala is shaping up to be bigger and better then ever! This is our second year holding the gala in Settlemeyer Hall at BTC, where over 265 guests will enjoy dinner by the award winning chef faculty!
About the event:
The Peace Builder Awards Gala is an event unlike any other; bringing our mission to life. Help us recognize community members who inspire collaboration, embody peace, and give hope to our community.
News this year has brought many reminders of the need for better resolutions to conflict - school violence, families torn apart by vicious divorce, divisive community issues. It doesn’t have to be this way. This is a critical time to invest in conflict resolution. More and more families are reaching to the WDRC with their most intimate and pressing needs. Funds raised at our Gala helps ensure that we’ll never turn away a family in foreclosure, young person in trouble, or a parent in need.
Guests will celebrate our 2016 Peace Builder Award Recipients and support the WDRC, while enjoying: a chef inspired dinner, hors d'oeuvres and drinks, live music, Peaceful Poetry Youth Contest readings, and a silent auction, grand prize raffle, wine wall, and dessert dash. All proceeds benefit the WDRC and our mission.
