Residents, both new and not so new, roll up your sleeves and join your neighborhoods in doing some “good in your neighborhood.” On this day of service, WWU students and long-term residents of the Happy Valley and York neighborhoods will have the opportunity to work together on a project to benefit their neighborhood – and celebrate with a picnic afterwards!
Happy Valley volunteers will be working in the community garden at Our Savior's Luthern Church from 1-3pm (1720 Harris Ave). Your efforts will benefit the Skookum House, a local non-profit providing care for children entering or transitioning into foster care. The picnic will be held afterwards.
Join us Saturday, September 30th, for this community-creating event - and make a difference in your neighborhood! Help welcome new WWU students to your neighborhood and get to know your neighbors!
