Volunteers needed for our annual Oktoberfest fundraiser!
Oktoberfest is an opportunity for the community to gather over brews, brauts, music and more – all in the name of a good cause! This event benefits the Volunteer Center of Whatcom County, providing a way for over 1,000 volunteers to connect with over 110 organizations each year! Your support will help us create a vibrant volunteer community in Whatcom County and a solid network of social services to our community.
-All volunteers MUST be 21+ years old.
-All Volunteers are required to attend a one hour in-person orientation prior to the event.
**Admissions volunteers must be able to attend one of the following orientations:
Thursday, October 5th @ 12 noon OR Thursday, October 5th @ 6pm
**All other volunteers must be able to attend one of the following orientations:
Wednesday, September 27th 12 noon OR Wednesday, September 27th 6 pm
OR Friday, September 29th 12 noon
-First and second shift volunteers receive free entry into the event before or after their shift, a tasting cup, and 2 tasting tickets. Since second shifters MUST be able to fulfill your duties at the end of the event (please don't over consume prior to your shift), we are sweetening the deal and providing a growler or stein at the end of the night to all volunteers who stick around until the job is done!
-All volunteers will receive an additional tasting ticket for every friend they recruit to volunteer as well! All they need to do is fill in your name under how they heard about this event when signing up!
