Thanksgiving Dinner!
We will be serving Thanksgiving Dinner for Francis Place residents again this year on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 22nd from 1:00-4:00 PM). The plan is to prepare some items and re-heat others here at Francis Place. We are looking for volunteers to purchase, or prepare and drop off any of the following prior to Thanksgiving day.
We’ve had the great honor of walking with our residents as they navigate housing and all that comes along with that. A big thanks to those who have played a role in supporting Permanent Supportive Housing in Whatcom County!
I’m reaching out to this dynamic group of individuals to ask for your continued support as we pull off another holiday season. Please read over the details and let me know if you’d like to be involved and on what level.
Prepared Foods (dropped off early or day-of):
- Stuffing (lots!!)
- Mashed Potatoes (lots!!)
- Gravy
- Green Bean (or other veg) Casseroles
- Rolls with butter (50+)
- Cranberry Sauce/Relish
- Relish/Vegetable Platters (3+)
- Deviled Eggs
- Pies/ Desserts
- Whipped Cream
- Sparkling Beverages (10 bottles+)
Additional Needs (dropped off early or day-of):
- Paper Plates
- Bowls
- Plastic Silverware
- Containers for preparing plates to be delivered
Let us know if you would like to sign up for any of these Thanksgiving items- Please feel free to sign up for whatever works for you, don’t feel obligated to donate all of one item.
