As a non-profit, it's extra important we take good care of the tools of our trade - shovels, mattocks, loppers, hand trimmers, etc. - so they can last longer, avoiding unnecessary replacement costs. Will you help us with this essential task? A Tool Manager is needed to thoroughly clean off all the tools after work parties (can sometimes get a bit muddy!), safely store them in between work parties, and transport them to and from work parties. The ideal Tool Manager has:
- a good place and materials for tool-cleaning (a hose at minimum, brushes can be provided),
- a secure and weather-proof garage, shed, or barn to store them in,
- a vehicle that can easily transport all of them (pickup truck or van would be best),
- and a few hours a month and some elbow grease to spare. It's a relatively small time commitment with a BIG impact.
