The Western Washington University Fall Info Fair is seeking volunteers to help support one of the largest student engagement events of the year. The Info Fair brings together hundreds of student clubs, campus departments, local businesses, and nonprofit organizations to connect with students and showcase opportunities both on and off campus.
Volunteers will play a key role in helping the event run smoothly from start to finish. Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with event setup in Red Square.
- Helping businesses, nonprofits, campus departments, and student organizations locate their assigned tables.
- Helping participants unload, transport, and set up materials.
- Providing directions and answering questions for students, visitors, and event participants.
- Promoting the event around campus through sign flipping and outreach.
- Assisting event staff with crowd flow, logistics, and general event support.
- Helping participants pack up and transport materials after the event.
- Assisting with teardown, cleanup, and returning equipment at the conclusion of the event.
We will have two volunteer shift options available, so be sure to select the shift that best fits your schedule. Whether you're an early bird who enjoys helping with setup or you'd rather support the event and assist with cleanup later in the day, there's a place for you on the team!
No prior experience is necessary. This is a great opportunity to gain event management experience, meet fellow students and community partners, earn volunteer hours, and be part of one of WWU's biggest welcome events of the year. We couldn't do it without you!
