Description

Help give maximum exposure to our adoptable dogs by ensuring we are in attendance to the various community events.

  • Communicate with board of directors to make decisions on which events we will do.
  • Be the point of contact for registering AHS to events (email and phone calls)
  • Keep a calendar of all upcoming events
  • Decide or identify who will be the Event Coordinator for a particular event (event manager does not need to be at each event!)
  • Notify volunteer coordinator of event calendar and needs (number of volunteers, number of dogs, etc.)
  • Make assignment list for event coordinator of the event
  • Make a list of dogs attending for check in/check out purposes

 

The following would be assigned to the event coordinator for each event:

  • Gather all things together and organize for event. This involves going to storage. Also, needs may change with different events; sometimes we need the tent or portable table.
  • Ensure everything goes back into the proper containers or assign someone to do this.
