POSITION TITLE: Event Volunteer
PROGRAM: Development, Outreach and Fundraising
RESPONSIBLE TO: Lydia Place Community Engagement Team
POSITION SUMMARY: Provides support at various events throughout the year at our many events within the community.
EXPECTATIONS AND COMMITMENT:
- Volunteers may sign up for as many or as few events as they choose, we appreciate you!
- Volunteers are expected to show up on time and follow through for their commitment of chosen shift(s).
- Volunteers are not permitted to be under the influence while working as a volunteer at Lydia Place, therefore no drinking will be allowed during your shift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support Lydia Place Community Engagement team by performing essential tasks at Lydia Place events.
- Possible positions include: registration, greeters, guest service, silent auction, live auction, raffles, set-up, clean-up, food services, etc.
- Volunteer needs will vary at each event.
DESIRABLE SKILLS:
- MAST certification would be AWESOME!
- Friendly, cheerful demeanor
- Ability to listen carefully and execute directions
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Attention to detail

About the Event: Beer Prom- Lydia Place and Kulshan Brewing
Six Bellingham breweries have asked other breweries to be their "dates" to our 80s themed Beer Prom. Together, they're brewing 80s inspired collaboration beers and we're serving them all at Beer Prom! All proceeds will be supporting Lydia Place, a non-profit helping disrupt the cycle of homelessness in Bellingham and promoting sustained independence for current and future generations.
This year's theme is Back to the Future's Enchantment Under The Sea. Wear your favorite 80s...er 50s fashion and drink one of a kind collaboration beers! Your future prom night includes a costume contest, a Royal Beer Court, unforgettable dance moves, a photo booth, raffle prizes, food trucks, and live music by Blindfate.
