Help us disrupt the cycle of homelessness in Whatcom County by volunteering for Lydia Place's Annual BOUNCE FORWARD Back To School Family Fair this August! We have a variety of volunteer positions at this family centered event that focus on creating a fun and educational experience for the families we serve in the community to culivate strength, hope and resilience coming into the new school year!

VOLUNTEER POSITION: Children & Family Event Support Volunteer
POSITION SUMMARY: Support Lydia Place staff by performing essential tasks at child/family centered events.
EXPECTATIONS AND COMMITMENT:
- Shifts vary depending on task assigned at event.
- All volunteers will need to fill out a volunteer application and attend the volunteer orientation prior to the event.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help create a safe, comfortable, and friendly environment for children
- Be a positive role model for children
- Treat all clients with respect
- Maintain client confidentiality
- Volunteers may sign up for as many or as few events as they choose, we appreciate you!
- Volunteers are expected to show up on time and follow through for their commitment of chosen shift(s).
REQUIREMENTS:
- Enjoy working with children
- Ability to stay calm in a sometimes chaotic environment
- Ability to make proactive decisions
- Ability to take direction and adapt easily to change
- Open to working with a diverse group of children with a diverse group of need
- Possible positions include: Check in, guest service, games, set-up, clean-up, food services, etc.
- Volunteer needs will vary at each event.

There will be a Bounce event volunteer orientation Monday the 12th at 5pm
