In solidarity with people around the world, the Whatcom Peace & Justice Center (WPJC) will host “Rad & Real: Turning Imagination into Action,” Bellingham’s 18th annual International Day of Peace celebration, happening on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Maritime Heritage Park and Tuesday, September 21st virtually. Recognized by the United Nations since 1982 and the City of Bellingham since 2010, International Day of Peace is a day for us to envision what our world can look like without weapons, violence, and oppression.

Come volunteer for this years in-person portion of International Day of Peace on Sept 19th at Maritime Heritage Park, from 2-5p!

We will be looking for volunteers to help with: 

- set up (12-2p)

- greeters/floaters (2-3:30p)

- greeters/floaters (3:30-5p)

- COVID safety support (2-3:30p)

- COVID safety support (3:30-5p)

- clean-up (5-6p)

 

All participants and volunteers will be expected to wear masks for the event, which we can provide if needed.
