Visit Bellingham/ Whatcom County Tourism

The Bellingham Visitor Center is operated by Visit Bellingham/ Whatcom County Tourism, the county’s official tourism agency. 

Our main visitor information center is located at 904 Potter Street with ancillary locations at the Airport, Ferry Terminal, and Fairhaven. Our team of wonderful volunteers commit to spending a minimum of 3 hours per week, starting at our primary Visitor Center (904 Potter Street). In addition to our visitor centers, you will also find our staff and volunteers at many community events and will meet visitors there (locals too!). 

Volunteers are invited to attend periodic familiarization tours in the community, often to local museums, attractions, parks, shows, sporting events, etc... In the recent past, our Volunteers have been marveled on Whale Watching Tours, experienced the Whatcom Museum and Photo Archives, got shocked at the Spark Museum, cheered on the home team at a Bell's Game and explored several galleries.

This is a great position for any Bellingham Enthusiast who loves to talk about the city, promote local happenings and get involved with local events. With such a diverse community from all walks of like, we'd like YOUR experience and background as a part of our team! 
 

Volunteering with us is all about having fun, being approachable, providing resources and talking about our beautiful corner of the country with tourists and locals alike.

Volunteers operate out of our Visitor Center's main office, in Fairhaven Village, at Bellingham International Airport, Bellingham Ferry/ Cruise Terminal, certain community events and seasonally at Farmer's Markets.
