
Join us for a special Boards in Gear series. Traditionally a one-day training, we are organizing this into a five-part series to allow for peer learning and interaction as well as digestion of the learning along the way.
Boards in Gear is comprised of five chapters:
- Connection to Cause (November 6th)
- Responsibilities (November 13th)
- Building a great board - Composition & Development (November 20th)
- Sustaining a great board - Board Operations (November 27th)
- Fundraising (December 4th)
Session 1: CONNECTION TO CAUSE: Board members place the work of the organization within a larger context, understanding the circumstances that cause the organization to exist. They are aware of others working in the same space and are able to give voice to stories, challenges, and opportunities that exist for the people their organization serves.
