Board basics is presented by Ginny Lang for the Volunteer Center of Whatcom County. Our goal is to help board members better understand the nuts and bolts – roles and responsibilities and the baseline skills you need for serving as a volunteer board member.
Board Basics is intended for:
- People interested in a first-time board position
- New board members who want to know more
- Board members who have been serving and want to brush up their basics

- General introduction to the nonprofit sector and key terms
- Board roles and responsibilities
- Reading financials – the basics!
